It felt nearly impossible to select just 20 photos for this post, hence why it’s a happy belated birthday to you @joeyvendel — you’re my favorite person, in fact I think you’re a lot of people’s favorite person, so I’m extra lucky I get to marry you and spend my life with you. You have filled my life with constant laughter and entertainment and have made even the simplest of moments the most special. You’re annoyingly good at being happy and grateful for what’s right in front of you while still working so hard to achieve only the best for yourself and the ones you care about. You are selfless and kind and extremely humble…sometimes haha. Thank you for keeping me grounded and reminding me that life is unpredictable and way more fun when you just go with the flow. Taking a moment to reflect on this life Joey & I have built together. September will be 3 years officially in San Diego, and over 9 years together. We dreamed of living in a home we could host our friends, make fancy charcuterie boards, and dance with music and candle light. These years with you just keep getting better and better and my heart is so full of beautiful memories, new & old. Celebrating you is the easiest thing I’ll ever do!! Band only workout you can do anywhere this summer 💙
Set up: band goes on above knees. Lay on your side with hips back and knees forward creating a 90 degree shape with your lower body. Press into your forearm on the mat and lift out of your waist and hip to avoid sinking into your shoulder. Always squeeze your glutes and draw your ribs in.
Follow the exercises below (10 reps each SLOW). I recommend you work through one side first then repeat on the other.
1. 90 degree banded leg lift
2. Internal alt external rotation
3. Clamshell
4. Seated oblique reach
5. Kneeling pull down to lunge reach
Pro tip: move slowly using the band to gauge your max range of motion while still maintaining form—core engagement and stability throughout the rest of your body. Exhale on the lift or contraction/squeeze of the movement.

It was a privilege to lead the workout for the @bala x @clairolcolor collab, meant to celebrate routines that help us feel beautiful, strong, and confident from anywhere—a passion and mission of mine with @korebyremy and my movement practice. Huge props to the girls doing the hundred with bangles on, impressive stuff!! 🤎
We always hear breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so let’s talk about it.
I’m a culprit of rushing through the morning and skipping breakfast, however I personally find sitting down and romanticizing this time with myself changes the trajectory of my day.
My mornings start early and I’m usually training a client or working out myself which means how I fuel myself prior is super important. Here’s a formula I’ve found works for me:
- bone broth (made rest in fridge) first thing, a tip from @kirstygodso that has changed the game for me. I love @bonafideprovisions which come in prepackaged frozen cups, @kettleandfire , and @holapikora packets
- coldbrew or matcha, probably not the best habit but we can’t be perfect. Sometimes I’ll add in @cymbiotika creamer or some collagen
- quick and easy to digest breakfast: chia seed pudding (I make this overnight with canned coconut milk or @tachepistachiomilk ), overnight oats (@dailyharvest has a good premade one), coconut yogurt & fruit, or protein smoothie (I like the bone broth protein by @paleovalley for dairy & legume free option), or if you’re really in a time crunch a banana and nut butter
- water!! I like room temp so it’s not too shocking to my gut. It should be first thing when you wake up ideally

Here’s my workout from the gym the other day. When lifting heavy, I typically focus on larger muscle groups and posterior chain like glutes, hamstrings, and back. Best of luck, thoughts & prayers to your legs 😮💨
CIRC 1
A. Barbell hip thrusts (dumbbell & banded for at home)
B. Deadlift smith machine (dumbell for at home)
CIRC 2.
A. Goblet/front rack squat (major core activation!!)
B. Lat pull down
CIRC 3.
A. Seated abductions (banded seated for at home)
B. Single arm dumbbell row
Finish with 10-15 reps of stability ball hamstring curls for 4 rounds ❤️🔥
A question I get asked a lot is how I maintain healthy eating while traveling and on vacation so let’s talk about it.
Something not everyone might know is that I have a severe peanut allergy among many others and I’ve grown up with this my entire life. I have been reading nutrition labels and ingredients before it was cool to do so and studied to become a registered dietician for the first 3 years of college until o-chem ruined my dream lol. I’ve always been fascinated by our relationship to food and how we can fuel and optimize ourselves for better energy, mood, and performance.
Given my allergies & health goals, I am hyper vigilant when it comes to understanding the food I’m consuming and what is in it, so note below is just my personal experience and learnings.
REMY’S TRAVELING & EATING/ORDERING TIPS:
- Give yourself permission to indulge a bit. It’s all about balance. Your hunger cues are intuitive if you can be friends with them. From my experience the more you restrict, the less control you end up having.
- When dining out, do not be afraid to ask what’s in your food. Ingredients are sometimes not listed or hide in oils, marinades, sauces, etc. I always google ingredients I don’t recognize just incase.
- Order dressing on the side.
- Order sauces on the side.
- Ask what the eggs are cooked with..dairy can hide here.
- Swap chips for crudité (sometimes, because sometimes I just want the chips haha)
- Order cocktails skinny if they offer that but I always double check on if there’s any sweeter and what it is.
- I like to have protein appetizers like ceviche if I am hungry so I don’t overeat less nourishing options.
- Ask if it’s cooked in oil (which oil), butter, etc.
- Prioritize fiber like chia seeds and veggies, to keep things moving.
- Papaya, pineapple, & kiwi can help with digestion!
- Feels obvious but stay hydrated. Being electrolytes to add into water if you have a hard time with this!
- Sometimes food and nights out are just good for the soul. Don’t torture yourself if you’re not super dialed because food is also about connection and community which is just as important in our total wellness 🧡
